Getting ready for Christmas

The only thing that tops my childhood excitement for Christmas is my excitement for my child's Christmas.   Delaney's ghost obsession has been replaced by snowmen, although unfortunately our neighborhood is not as well decorated for Christmas as it was for Halloween. 

We started the season off last weekend by getting a Christmas tree. 


We let Delaney choose which one to get. 

We got a big tree, eventhough she felt more comfortable among these "baby trees" which were her size. 

She was thrilled to meet some deer at the nursery. 

But she was pretty concerned about the tree on top of our car.

Thanksgiving

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving in Santa Barbara with both of our families.  Delaney had a ball playing with everyone, getting quality time with family, chasing after the puppies, eating mashed potatoes, going to the Santa Barbara zoo, visiting the park by the beach, and decorating the house with stickers.
