Delaney's First Birthday!!!!! We made some good decisions this year, but few of them were better than deciding to have Delaney's birthday at a park (as opposed to our house) and making it as simple as possible. We catered food, had some decorations, hired a rhythm group to do a drum circle and invited our closest family and friends. It was more wonderful than I could have ever imagined! Despite rain the night before and very heavy winds, it was a perfect day. Everyone had a great time, but no one had more fun than Delaney. I guess I should not be surprised that she loved being the center of attention! Being at the park (her favorite place in the world), surrounded by her buddies, listening to music and playing instruments, and most of all, having her first piece of cake, made one happy little girl! Happy Birthday to our fearless, loving, funny, clever, sweet, beautiful little Delaney! We love you more than we could have ever imagind!
We had a drum circle which was great! It appealed to all of the age ranges, from 6 months to 8 years.
And Delaney was CAPTIVATED the whole time
She loved the tamborine!
Her favorite part was beating the big drum herself!
