Father's Day

We had a really fun and special Father’s Day.  Delaney was apparently very excited about it and was up and ready to go at 6:00am.  We brought her into bed with us, although despite the room being dark and us trying to lay down with her, she did not stay still for ONE second.   This is the case from the moment she wakes up until the moment she goes to sleep.  I guess if I slept for 11 hours a night and 2-3 hours a day I would have that much energy too!

Brice received a “Dad & Me” book from Delaney with pictures and stories.  We went to the Farmers Market where Delaney picked out her fruits (nectarines, plums, cherries) and veggies (zucchini, eggplant) for the week.

Brooks came and spent the day with us.  We went to Samy’s for lunch and split a pizza.

Paul, June, Erin, Barb, Brooks, Howard, Sam, Chris came over in the evening and the weather was beautiful so we sat outside.  We had an Argentine feast and fabulous cakes from Susina.

Delaney loved the empanadas and tortilla.   She took full advantage of the undivided attention and put on a big show, including pushing her car up and down the driveway 50 times.  It is unbelievable to think how different our lives were 1 year ago, when she was just an infant and slept through the entire meal.  We can only imagine what will be in store for next year!
